For Yakima County Superior Court Judge, Dept. 4.
- As a fulltime judicial officer for Yakima County Superior Court, Commissioner Silverthorn has served our community for nearly seven years since his appointment to the bench in May of 2017.
- He has presided over some of Yakima County Superior Courts largest and most complex dockets.
- While assigned to the juvenile court, Commissioner Silverthorn presided over hundreds of bench trials on the Dependency Docket. He presided for over 5 years in Family Treatment Court.
- During that time he also covered the juvenile offender docket as needed, including motions and bench trials.
- Currently Commissioner Silverthorn is the judicial officer assigned to our court's family law and minor guardianship dockets.
As Judge Pro Tempore in Yakima County District Court
- Shane Silverthorn served our community for over three and a half years presiding over criminal dockets, anti-harassment dockets, traffic infractions, small claims, civil lawsuits, as well as civil bench and jury trials, in both the Grandview and Yakima courts.
As Judge Pro Tempore in Wapato & Toppenish
- Presided over criminal and traffic dockets in Wapato Municipal Court and Toppenish Municipal on regularly schedule dockets and on an as needed basis.
- Serving our lower Yakima Valley community as a Municipal Judge Pro Tempore was an honor and a privilege .
- As Superior Court Judge he will continue to serve our community.
